Flavored Soft Chews containing antioxidants, polyphenols, fatty acids & vitamins to keep your dog's skin and coat healthy.

Dogs with skin, coat and allergy issues may have the following problems:

  • Licking excessively
  • Crustiness around eyes
  • Red, irritated skin
  • Chewing on paws
  • Dull coat
  • Dandruff
  • Scratching their stomach or ears

These are only some of the symptoms your dog may have, and if just one symptom applies, your dog could be suffering from skin, coat and allergy problems. Any breed, size or age of dog can be prone to skin, coat & allergy issues.  Sporting, hunting, and competitive dogs are bred and trained to make them great at what they do. This also applies to agility dogs, dock jumping dogs, search & rescue dogs, police dogs and other working dogs. They work and train in harsh environments that can challenge their skin and coats. This same special breeding can also make them more likely to have the problems listed above. Dogs that spend time outside hiking, camping, swimming or on daily walks will also be exposed to environmental allergens.  According to Dr. Shawn Messonnier, a nationally recognized expert on holistic medicine for animals, “Although there are many causes of itchiness in dogs, the most common is a genetic inflammatory disease called atopic (allergic) dermatitis, often called skin allergies. If your dog is scratching regularly without signs of skin lesions, chances are he has an allergy.” *

Any dog, no matter the breed or size, can have problems with their skin & coat. They can happen during different seasons, or year-round. Spring allergy season or dry winter air from indoor heat are just a few examples of when dogs may have problems.

Skin & Coat Problems
Many breeds are prone to genetic allergic dermatitis, such as Labrador Retrievers. Allergies usually appear at 1 to 3 years of age. Pay attention to constant scratching, which can lead to skin lesions or infections over time. Your dog will thank you for taking action sooner rather than later.

Treatments for Skin & Coat Problems
There are many ways you can help your dog, such as topical treatments, pharmaceuticals and nutritional supplements. For mild cases of itchiness, a supplement providing extra nutrients to support healthy skin may be just the thing to help. Supplements are safe to use with many prescription products but check with your doctor if you're not sure.

FAQs

Can my dog use ZoomDog?
ZoomDog products can be used by dogs of any activity level, size or life stage. Our safe formulas and weight-based daily recommended amounts ensure that any dog can be a ZoomDog!

How much does my dog need to take each day?
Daily recommend amounts are listed by weight starting with 1 pound, so make sure you have a current weight on your dog for best results. Please see "Recommended Usage" above for specific amounts. If your dog has severe skin and coat issues, we suggest doubling the recommended usage, divided between morning and evening, until symptoms subside, at which point you may return the regular usage amounts.

Can I use Itchy Dog and a ZoomDog joint health formula together?
Yes! You can use both. We suggest giving the full usage amount of one and only half the usage amount of the other. For example in allergy season, use a full amount of Itchy Dog and half amount of Joint Health Soft Chews. If your dog is competing or if they get stiffer in winter, when skin and coat issues aren't as much of a problem, use the full usage amount of Joint Health Soft Chews and half the usage amount of Itchy Dog.

How long until I see results?
Many people see results within the first two weeks. Make sure you double the recommended usage for the first 5 days, as stated on the label instructions. Be patient, supplements can take up to four to six weeks to develop significant results.

Will this work for my dog?
ZoomDog works very well for most dogs (please see our product reviews). Make sure that you use the recommended daily amount for at least a full 30 days. All dogs are different and in the small chance that ZoomDog supplements don't work as you expect, we will send an alternate product or provide a full refund of the bottle price.
